delivered

Beginnings

Entrusted in our hands

not just flesh of our flesh

bone of our bone

but all other forms

Land

sky

and seas

creatures great 

and small

and especially

warm puppies

 

Absolutely

mind boggling

All ours

to cherish

or destroy

to label

blessing

or curse

We meet at a crossroads

and celebrate

or extinguish

Such a debate

such passion

anger

pain

rights

that have run

wrong

mine over yours

hers over just conceived

In the beginning

God created

and it was good

wasn't it?
